「疑い深いタイプ」を排除して「信じやすいタイプ」「感激しやすいタイプ」を選別するためわざと下手糞な文章にしてある、という「よしだ日記」さんの推測には説得力がある。
たとえば三流週刊誌に載っている「幸運を呼ぶ」アクセサリー（ネックレスとかブレスレットとか）の広告はものすごく安っぽく胡散臭くて「こんなのを信じて買うやつがいるのか？」と疑ってしまうけれど、「怪しげな広告を信じて買う客なら効果がなくても気付かないだろう」という計算のもとにわざと胡散臭くしているのだと考えることができる（本当はどうなのか知らないけれど）。
「怪しげな商品を売るためには怪しげな宣伝をするのが正しい」という発想は私にはなかった。 —

SPAMメールの類の文章も同じ構造。「あんなので騙される奴なんかいるのか？」ではなくて、送信コストが極限まで低いので、たとえば10000通送って1通反応があれば十分とか、そういう話になる。あのどう考えても信憑性のなさそうな文面そのものがフィルタリングの役目を果たしている。
